You can see the kids, so inspired with the game of baseball. Without that, they have no hope. They don't have proper uniforms or just wear flip-flops, or go barefoot ... but baseball is baseball, it doesn't matter if you're barefoot or flip-flopped.

I see in their eyes. I look around and they need hope and they need opportunity. They need to understand about other cultures, other countries, what is offered to them, what they can become.

These kids deserve (the title). They've worked tremendously hard. We hope we're just now hitting our peak.

Last season, we had only nine healthy kids. We hope to get quite a few kids out to the sectional meet. If things go well, we have a possibility of winning the regional, but there are a lot of quality teams.

I think it was very educational for the kids, and I hope they learned a lot about the Commonwealth Games and the sport. The initiative was fantastic. Having the kids understanding about competing in sports and getting out there is a good thing. They have given me a lot of support, and I really enjoyed the visits.

I saw glass on the floor. I took a couple of steps, and that's when I saw the baseball bat. I saw some other stuff, but I wasn't sure what it was, so I just backed up and went in my car.
