Resentment is allowing someone to have power over your life without a remote control.

I just coached a man who thought he had no wealth. I asked him to write down 50 things to be grateful for. He realized he was wealthy! My definition of wealth is this: wealth is what you have left after all your possessions are taken away from you.

Adversity is your friend—embrace it and stop fighting it. The calmness will produce a new you that you may have never seen but it will propel you to greatness and give you clarity. Adversity is not to be feared but look at it with gratitude and your life will change. It may not be easy but it will make you grow and thrive. Adversity can be your friend.

Resentments are like this Chinese proverb: If you have revenge in mind, you’d better dig two graves.Resentment is like being bitten by a snake twenty years ago and the venom is still inside your body. But the venom is imaginary, we made it up, but we can feel it, taste it, hear it, see it. It’s imaginary, but we make it so real.

The more grateful you are, the happier you are. Wherever you go, whatever you do, live in a state of gratitude.
