Yesterday, the focus was very much on grief and trying to do what was necessary for the basic needs of those who were survivors. Today, now they've had a rest, they'll start to think about their travel plans.

We're trying to focus on somebody else's needs instead of just wallowing in our stuff right now.

But Balthamos couldn't tell; he only knew that half his heart had been extinguished. Grief causes you to leave yourself. You step outside your narrow little pelt. And you can’t feel grief unless you’ve had love before it - grief is the final outcome of love, because it’s love lost. […] It’s the cycle of love completed: to love, to lose, to feel grief, to leave, and then to love again. Grief is the awareness that you will have to be alone, and there is nothing beyond that because being alone is the ultimate final destiny of each individual living creature. That’s what death is, the great loneliness.

This has provided a great foundation for where the A&P Commission needs to focus its efforts in the short term and in the long term as well.
