Yesterday, I stood before you as a victim - a victim of a brutal homicide.

We are the voices of the voiceless.

If we've helped one victim, we've succeeded in our journey. However, our journey doesn't end here. We've been dealt a life sentence. Now we must choose how to live it.

That day was the beginning of another journey. We not only wanted answers as to why this happened, but we had to find a way to cope with this tragedy. As the process unfolded, we began to find victims had few rights.

The Murchisons are honest-to-God-real-foe-rich colored people, and the only people in the world who are more snobbish than rich white people are rich colored people. I though everybody knew that.

Life isn't about having. Life is about loving... loving people; loving life.
