Working in the tranquil setting of my backyard is also highly motivational and inspirational. I also get ideas from a variety of individuals. One lady who owns a gift shop suggested the wings on the mermaids. At art shows, people are always giving me ideas for new art pieces, and then there are also personal interests. We love to sail; hence, the sailboats.

I look forward to packing the van with my art and my display tent and heading off to a show. It's a great experience. I love the input, the advice and the comments of the people strolling the show grounds. I still get very excited, but in a humble way, when someone buys one of my pieces. They not only bought a piece of my art but they are taking home a part of me. It's a nice feeling to know that someone appreciates what you have done.
