With Vietnam hosting (Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation forum) in November, this is a critical window of opportunity. Vietnam cannot afford to let it slip.

We know that the global problem is probably $600 billion or more in magnitude, of which China represents 60 percent of the global problem. It's being manufactured in China, counterfeiting and piracy. It's being exported around the world and certainly into the U.S. market, so the U.S. companies are very concerned.

The next six weeks is a critical window for U.S., China relations. The administration is clearly sending a signal to the Chinese that we need results.

For Vietnam to step forward [on security cooperation], they have to step forward in two directions. They don't want to be roped into a US containment policy towards China…. They want the US to remain engaged [in Asia], but they don't want to get too close.

This resolution has no legal basis. All it does is simply remove the opportunity for voluntary cooperation between Iran and the agency.

It's a great opportunity for us. We certainly appreciate all of the cooperation that we have received from everyone to bring this opportunity to this point. The staffs at both Wake Forest and the Greensboro Coliseum have been extremely helpful.
