With all this rain and the wet weather, we already have mosquitoes developing and adults flying. There are eight positive birds in the state and half of them are here.

It's a big cause of concern. We haven't seen water like this since El Nino.

We're looking at it probably being worse. This will be our second real serious year.

They don't fly to an area. They are established, so we know they caught the virus in this area.

We believe this year will be worse because the virus is already established. Last year, Sacramento was hit hard, and now Santa Clara County has the most infected birds in the state so far.

I don't think this is a weather-related incident at all. It seemed like fairly ideal flying conditions, particularly for a powerful aircraft like that. It's a pretty rugged airplane.
