With 17-minute periods, we have learned that it is a long game and that you have to be patient. The players know that. If the coaches are feeling panicked, the players will feel that, too.

They have a really hard-nosed team. They win a lot of one-on-one battles. They're physically really strong in the corners. It was a hard team to play against.

We played well the last two periods. But it's only human nature to be down a bit when you're not scoring goals. We had three or four point-blank shots that just didn't go in. But we kept trying and eventually they went.

We have a set lineup that we use in situations like this, so I made sure all the guys remembered their assignments before we went back out for the overtime.

Last year was euphoric because we were in the tournament, and that was a big deal. This year we're going into the tournament with the attitude that we need to get the job done.

There are too many things being legislated that should be left up to the DOE.
