Wins are wins, and they're certainly looked at. Would we do something a little more for the wins — five, 10 more points? I don't know. You've got to have consistency, too.

It has been a big distraction. We haven't announced the final penalty for Chad yet. We don't expect somebody to fall into the bad zone, if you will, too many times. So we're going to have to check ourselves from a deterrent standpoint to make sure the guys understand what we're trying to get done.

We're getting down to the wire. Looks to be in the next four to six weeks or sooner there will be some firm announcements of where we'll land.

Joe Gibbs has proven that you can take success from one sport and translate it to another. If they follow anything close to his model, and they're smart guys, they'll have a chance to be successful.

We have to be, and we will be, a performance-based series. You have to perform. You know what, the drivers ... don't want to limp in on a fan vote. They want to earn their way in or not earn their way in.

It would be OK (for a champion not to win a race), although I think it's very unlikely. I would be shocked if the winner goes through the final 10 and doesn't win a race.
