Every year I'm that guy fighting for a job. For a guy like me it's all about opportunities — the chance to go out there to play. I'm usually the fourth outfielder… It's tough, but life could be worse.

I don't know a lot about the Scots, but I'm aware they have beaten some of the English counties in the NCL and have gone close in other matches,

One of the heartening things is when the great players miss out a few times, it shows they're human and it shows people like me that we all have doubts and we can all lose a bit of confidence,

Personally, I'm very disappointed because I went there to play cricket. I don't think you can ever say they're cheapened runs in Test cricket.
