Whenever you have a tight situation and there's a close pitch, the umpire gets a squawk no matter how he calls it.

I didn't even, like, look at it. It was close. I was just going to do what the umpire said,

I could see my pitch count, so I determined that I would get a strikeout no matter what.

I would be jacked up. But I'd be worried about that high, tight pitch.

She did a great job. The umpire, she kind of had a tight zone and (McGowan) adjusted a lot to the umpire's zone. (McGowan is) just strong out there. She doesn't let anything get to her, so we can count on her for that to be consistent throughout the game.

The umpire was a little uncomfortable with me. I just didn't pay attention to it. The pitch was inside and I thought it was a good pitch. My only reaction was 'Wow!' and he came running at and said, 'Don't do that again.
