When you think about it, we've lost two of the three running backs, now we've lost Fergie. It's hard. We're going to have to start picking up guys off the street to play.

I just shot it. I knew the clock was running down and wanted to get it on net. I heard one of my teammates say, 'There's 37 seconds left,' and that's when I realized we were ahead.

States have been taking their ability to get involved and running with it too far.

With the (defensive) looks we're getting, I would bet we'll end up running the ball more than we did last year. We feel like we can operate whatever the defense allows.

They run the ball well when [running back Fred] Taylor's going well. And they've added elements to their passing game every year. So it'll be a big test. They've beaten us two out of the last four. And they've beaten us up here. So we're going to have to be ready. It's a big division game early in the year. I think our guys know that. You have to win your division. If you don't win your division home games, it becomes really tough. So this is our chance to hold serve.

Sure it's disappointing not to be running the full schedule, especially after the momentum we built at the end of last year. But you can't be ruled by emotion, or you'll find yourself out of this sport in a hurry.
