When Secretary (Tom) Ridge was here, everyone was saying we were rated triple-A.

She took a lot of time with it because it is an important project for her. She likes recognizing employees. She did it a lot as mayor and is continuing as governor.

The people themselves feel they are part of something and they are helping to make something and are creating the initiatives that the governor wants to do.

I thought it was a fabulous idea. It guarantees the stadium will get a check and is another way for the university's football program to enhance its season-ticket package. Your spaces would be numbered. And they would sell the spots to people who would have them for the season.

If there is no stadium, there is no football game. Our state cannot be without a stadium in Honolulu. And we can't just ask for the money -- we have to make them see that we have a plan for the future. We're looking to bring in revenue to pay for the whole thing.

When we say 'cinematic', we tend to think John Ford and vistas and wide-open spaces. Or we think of kinetic camera movement or of a certain number of cinematic styles, like film noir.
