When an opportunity came for me to wrestle, I just worked hard. The coaches just kept telling me it would come around, it would come around. I knew that they had faith in me.

We wanted to come out here and wrestle hard because it's Murphy-Carbondale and our kids want to win. I know that both sides want to win and both sides came out and wrestled hard. You can't even make predictions in this meet because anything can happen from one meet to the next - but hey, it's Murphy-Carbondale.

I'm feeling good, ... For the last month or so I've been working very hard. I kept telling myself it's never too late to play well again, and I wanted to finish the season well. I'm glad that it's turning around.

He's worked hard, he's wrestled his whole life and goes around to different states to wrestle. I think it's sad how it ended for him.

I had personal goals I wanted to accomplish and my back against the wall a little bit. I know I am a winner and I try to have a winner outlook.

Come December I knew it was going to get brighter. The light was the Big Ten Tournament and I ran for it.
