What we definitely do not want is to have young people who cannot afford to study because of financial problems in their families.

PL is the natural home of all those who are united in favour of change in Malta, and he pledged to fight for social rights against all odds, just as “our forefathers” fought for so many rights that are often taken for granted.

“You (the government) are not denying me anything by not giving me the €500 increase per week, like the Minister and Cabinet were given. I said from day one I would donate the money. You are denying the money from the charities which would have benefitted.”

The greatest value which guides us is tolerance. Don’t let divorce separate our country. We are not going to take it against no one. One unity we were, we are and such we will remain.

I will respect what people will vote. People who fought for what they thought was right even though the majority was against them inspire me. In the past, the “minority” fought for women to gain their voting rights, for 18-year-olds to be able to vote, for those who wanted Malta to be independent, ruled by its own government, those who were against homosexuality listed as a crime. Even if alone, I will keep on fighting for the civil rights which our country needs to work on.

Do not be influenced by political parties on the divorce issue. We are still waiting Prime Minister Gonzi to say that all PN supporters are free to vote as they wish". Our country needs to be more European, more compassionate and tolerant. Even if I am alone speaking on these rights, it is fundamental for our country to be compassionate and tolerant
