What they've done is take the other younger kids under their wings and give them leadership. We're not the most athletic team, but something's working for us.

I think our kids got tense. I think they knew they were on the verge of doing something that hadn't been done and they were nervous about losing.

I have to give our kids and our coaches credit. We worked hard. Our senior leadership is good.

We're young, 22 of our 32 kids are either freshmen or sophomores. Luckily we have some senior leadership.

The seniors have really taken over in a leadership role and brought the younger kids along. They've done quite a job just keeping practices in a positive direction. Their experience is vital.
