What they're doing makes perfect sense. It's easy to be critical. But what we're seeing right before our eyes is the evolution of the brokerage and financial-services industry.

It's like losing weight. It's about behavior. In weight loss, it's eating less and exercising. In investing, it's taking advantage of opportunities to invest dollars that are saved from taxes.

That seems to be the prevailing strategy for someone who missed the opportunity in 1998.

It's always helpful if you can get more eyes looking at them.
