What they're doing is they're scalping tickets and then mixing in these very authentic-looking tickets that are actually fakes. The scalping is a vehicle to disseminate the fake tickets.

When I was mixing the album I was just cheering it on, ... I was actually getting to put myself in a position of observation of listening to the band, watching it, experiencing it probably closer to a fan thing than I've ever had the ability to do, or that I've ever let myself do. And I was just like, yeah, George is getting it on. And that's what you want for anybody's performance.

I recognize that there's some concern that we're getting in the way of free commerce - that if Uncle Joe wants to sell his ticket to some guy, and he makes $10 on the sale, what's the problem with that? That's the hard part. That's the innocent aspect to what happens - but then there's the more criminal aspect of abusing people and frankly taking advantage of people.

This is really a new issue in Virginia. Until relatively recently, we haven't really had big-time sports here.

We might actually sell out of Magnolia tickets, which has never happened before. We have 570 tickets for the event. At this point, we are approaching 500 sold. This is the largest fundraiser we do every year for the Symphony Guild, and I think this is going to be the best year ever.
