What my portraits are made of?
10% reality, 90% my philosophy.

Life is rose. Some look at the thorns ... some at the flower.

All portraits reveal both the the painter and the person painted. In many ways all paintings are self-portraits. All part of why art informs.

There are no bad pictures; that's just how your face looks sometimes.

A portrait is not a likeness. The moment an emotion or fact is transformed into a photograph it is no longer a fact but an opinion. There is no such thing as inaccuracy in a photograph. All photographs are accurate. None of them is the truth.

The children created pop art portraits of themselves by tracing over a digital picture on the computer. It certainly added something extra. At the end of the class, they couldn't believe that it was already playtime.
