What I fear mostly is a car that's coming with a family in it, bunch of children or something and hit by this train.

I am a mother and mothers don’t have the luxury of falling apart in front of their children, even when they are afraid, even when their children are adults.

These children have been through so much, and they're doing the best they can with what they have. I've been here just a short time, but it seems the kids are doing OK. They need time to be kids. So we let them.

Love and fear. Everything the father of a family says must inspire one or the other.

It's a constant parameter of fear. The fear is that, if you can lose two [children], can you lose three ... or four?

This is always a fear of ours in our family. Always a fear. There's nothing you can do but wait.
