What do [prosecutors] have now that they didn't have a year ago? I haven't seen any new information from today's papers and from yesterday's press conference by Martha Coakley that I wasn't aware of in September of 2004.

In cases of this nature, husbands and boyfriends and ex-husbands and ex-boyfriends are always people of interest, and he understands that. But there's nothing in their background. ... No one had a bad word to say about them.

He absolutely denies that he had any involvement in her death. They were deeply in love with each other. He has no information as to how this occurred.

There's a difference between reporting the story and publishing it. Our job is to get all the relevant information and then see what's worth publishing in the paper. But if the government is stopping us [from seeing official documents and attending court proceedings], that's a problem.

The content isn't the focus. There's so much information available out there right now. It's become a minimum standards. The focus still must be looking at the transaction. That's where the profit lies.
