We've worked with the media, so we feel at least that Brevard County will be as well-represented as other counties.

We have outgrown it tremendously. During an emergency, we have 75 to 80 people crowded in there.

The consequence of that could be very, very dangerous for those living off the coast.

The most important thing I want to get from that is 'What's the preparedness of the federal government now?' Can we expect the same response that we had in 2004? To say it won't be as bad as last year doesn't really make me feel good.

If business and industry have a better feel when we might order an evacuation, they might be more inclined to let employees get their business prepared early or let them get their homes prepared.

Certainly there are feelings of relief that we didn't have to actually execute any of our contingency plans.
