Our design concept was better than the other two. It really came down in the end to financial stability.

They were very laudatory on our proposal. As a matter of fact, they thought our design and concept was probably better than the other two. It really came down to long-term financial stability for the Hall of Fame, and they thought it would be better up there.

I think all three cities tied in the design, the concept and the capital that was needed. I think it was the way in which the capital was structured that made the difference.

We don't know what they were thinking and how important public money was.
