We've got a lot of baseball to go.

We were trying to keep his pitch count down and we succeeded. He just didn't get us through the game. We pulled him at 75, and he admitted he was getting tired.

Baseball is a game of race, creed, and color. The race is to first base. The creed is the rules of the game. The color? Well, the home team wears white uniforms, and the visiting team wears gray.

I went through baseball as "a player to be named later."

Actually, I didn't know that. I like to name my characters after baseball players. Alan Trammell of the Tigers is one of my favorites.
