A lot of it was just trying to get them to be more vocal—to take charge a little more. Both of them are younger so they have to learn to speak up and lead a little more. They just have to be a little more confident.

I want them to get the basic concepts: What is soil? How is it important? How does it change? If they care about something, they take care of it.

We had opportunities to make an album before but they were trying to change what we were doing, ... We wanted to record what we love and I think once people hear the music, they’re going to like it.

That doesn't change things. You're still trying to do the best you can, whether you have a spot or not.
