We're so thankful for the nurses, the caregivers, the doctors — they have shown so much kindness and respect.

They say the brain heals for up to two years. He's going through different stages of coming out of it. They tell us he could wake up one day and be normal, or not wake up at all.

We just had a lot of fun, and we wanted to include him in that stuff.

He always, always sought out those that had issues. Kids in wheelchairs, or things like that, he would reach out and be kind to them.

If Jared comes back and is normal, then great. If it's a different road, then OK, we'll work with that.

Whatever Heavenly Father wants us to learn from this, we'll do it and we'll do it with a smile on our faces.
