We're seeing a steady progression with Bart, but Escobar is going through the roof. He's ready. He's really picked it up.

We want to make sure that when Bart gets back on the mound, he's ready to be there for a long time.

We'll see how things set up. There are things we're looking at. Certainly we want to give Bart as many starts as we can, and the same with John Lackey.

Bart has been a little stiff the last couple of days. It started to knot up in the sixth and I said enough is enough. He's a little tight right now, but we don't think it will affect his next start.

His last 20 at-bats or so, he's really seeing the ball well. And tonight? You can't square up a ball any better than those couple of home runs.

When you're not swinging the bats well you look flat. Our club was ready to go. We had a lot of energy.
