We're proud of the way the kids kept their chin up the whole time. We don't look at our record, but our goal was to be the best team we could at the end of the year.

They really showed a lot of character. We're happy with the way we finished. We had a nice run at the end. We played really well when we beat HCC, lost to Manatee and beat Pasco-Hernando back-to-back.

This is a good group of kids. They hustle all the time. They are very fired up about the season.

It's neat to watch my dad with the younger kids just starting out. He helps them a lot at first with things like how to line up their sights, like he taught me. It's good to be able to learn from good coaches who teach you the right way to shoot and how to be safe with firearms.

I like the area, I like the kids, I like my employer.

They had double the kids that we had out there, but we had seven kids that worked hard on the court and gave 100 percent. You know they make mistakes, but I think they played well, maybe not totally up to their potential, but I think that will come.
