We're looking at sheltering and feeding people for three months, ... Consequently, we will need volunteers for not only a few days or weeks, but long term. We have hundreds of deaths and thousands homeless. It's just an overwhelming situation.

A lot of people will relocate here. They're not going back.

What is exciting about Podcasting it allows me to subscribe to feeds. Soon you will be able to listen to them [podcasts on your phone. I think this is great.

They've opened their hearts to these people, and we've got to replenish them.

When you look away from a homeless person, you diminish their humanity and your own.

Some of these people are not going home. We have a number from New Orleans who lived in the Ninth Ward, and know they have nothing to go home to. Some have found jobs in our area and are looking for jobs. They're doing all the things they need to be doing to be part of our culture.
