We're finally seeing dividend payers starting to outperform. That's a healthy long-awaited sign that people are seeking out quality.

The impediments are really technical. The biggest problem is perceived lack of quality, reliability. A lot of people are still uncertain that their Internet connection will be reliable and on all the time. There are some reports of voice quality not being as good as traditional lines. And there are questions about 911. But those are all rapidly being worked out. And the marketplace is showing that the numbers of subscribers are growing steadily.

They are not only results of our action, but results which that action has merited; and there is no moral hope for us unless we accept them as such.

No one can deny that the New Testament has variety as well as unity. It is the variety which gives interest to the unity. What is it in which these people, differing as widely as they do, are vitally and fundamentally at one, so that through all their differences they form a brotherhood and are conscious of an indissolubale spiritual bond? There can be no doubt that that which unites them is a common relation to Christ -- a common faith in Him, involving religious convictions about Him.

There is that in the Gospel with which no one is allowed to argue. All we can do is believe or disbelieve; to give it in our life the place of the final reality to which everything else must give way, or to refuse it that place. Many people ... would like to talk the Word of God over. It raises in their minds various questions they would willingly discuss. It has aspects of interest and of difficulty which call for consideration; and so on. Perhaps there are some that confusedly shield themselves against the responsibilities of faith and unbelief by such thoughts. All that such thoughts prove, however, is that those who cherish them have never yet realized that what we are dealing with in the Gospel is GOD. When God speaks in Christ, He reveals His gracious will without qualification. And without qualification, we have to believe in it, or refuse to believe, and so decide the controversy between ourselves and Him. God has not come into the world in Christ ... to be talked about, but to become the supreme reality on the life of men, or to be excluded from that place.
