We're doing well. I keep real steady work. Right now, I have five builders that I do work for.

It was pretty easy to cross (illegally) the border back then. You still had to sneak across and hide in the bushes so they wouldn't see you, but it's nothing like it is today.

I wasn't afraid at all. Growing up on a ranch, you're never afraid.

The things I'm most proud of are that I could buy a house and I have my own business. Those are some things I never would have imagined when I was growing up in Mexico.
