We're confident at the end of this that Fitzgerald is going to find that Karl has been totally truthful and not only has done nothing wrong but has done everything right.

The attorney general received FBI briefings, and challenged the FBI to do everything possible to confront the threat, ... He repeatedly asked them, 'What are you doing? What more can we do?'

He's testifying now, and is doing so voluntarily.

Mr. Fitzgerald has affirmed to me that he has made no charging decisions, that he believes Karl continues to cooperate fully with the investigation, but beyond that, I don't want to comment at all about any communications with Mr. Fitzgerald's office.
