We'd love to be in downtown Encinitas. It's simply a matter of affording the rent. As an art group, we'd like something old, historical and funky.

We found we were just far enough from the main part of Encinitas that people drove by real fast and didn't stop. We need to be in a place where people are walking and have time to leisurely look around.

It could be two months or two years; we have no way of knowing. We would still be looking for a new permanent place.

The same person is coming through in a different medium, ... My art is simple, direct and definite.

The studio, a room to which the artist consigns himself for life, is naturally important, not only as workplace, but as a source of inspiration. And it usually manages, one way or another, to turn up in his product.

I'm an artist sometimes, but I find myself in love with art all of the time.
