We will use it if it is necessary and if it is a bona fide, legitimate public use. But we will not use it for economic development, those kind of purposes.

They will be wider to better accommodate traffic through two of the city's busiest thoroughfares.

It was a first meeting. Now the PUD will have to go back and crunch the numbers and see what might be feasible.

It will provide a better picture of where the city is going. It will highlight what the next few months will hold.

Given the anticipated public interest we know will accompany these applications, we have set other dates aside for further public hearings. We want to make sure we give the public an opportunity to speak.

John Robinson will be missed. He is a good public servant and always had the best interest of the city in mind.
