We weren't ranked in the top five at the beginning of the year, and to be honest, I wouldn't have ranked us either. Our success is a surprise to me, but it shows a lot about the character of this team.

That really impresses more than our record or ranking. We have three goalkeepers that are just phenomenal. We're really blessed to have three keepers of that level.

He's so experienced and the guys on the team feed off of him and what he does. He's a calming force in the middle of the field. He's pleaded with me all preseason to play forward, but we need him in the middle.

We're at a point now where we feel pretty confident in who we bring in from the sideline. The level of play doesn't go down and that's the difference.

My church is in Hammond, my daughter and her family is in Hammond, my doctors are in Munster. Most everything I do is east of here.
