We were very naive. We had no idea how much work it would be.

We were very excited. We were just jumping up and down. We think it will be well received and have a very long shelf life.

All of that combined gave us the impetus to do it.

There were boxes and boxes and boxes of photos that had never been catalogued.

At one point on Main Street there were 56 Jewish merchants. We also listed all the Jewish merchants on Wooster Avenue. We had a good time with that.

Everybody was excited, and a byproduct from that was as we were going through pictures, we were getting stories from people.
