We were pleased the way our kids hung in there in the first game and came back to win it.

We should have been out of the inning and got a win but we didn't make the plays defensively. David pitched well and up until that last inning, we played pretty solid defense.

Austin pitched well for us. The thing is teams are going to get hits against our pitchers and we have to play better defense.

Their pitcher was good but again, we're not hitting the baseball. When we do, we hit it right at people and we can't find the gaps. We're not giving ourselves chances to score if we're not getting on the bases.

We really had a good chance to win that game. Again, we didn't hit the ball and we didn't make some routine plays defensively. It's been a problem all season for us.

The kids were in shock. I just couldn't give them reasons.
