We were lagging behind. We saw that there wasn't even accessible data to teachers that would help them raise test scores in the district. We needed to upgrade the technology.

The better the individual teachers are with the computers, the more they will use them in the classroom...and the more the kids will learn.

The main problem is there isn't enough money to pay teachers adequately.

Anytime that we can help the teachers in any way monetarily we should. Not only are we helping our teachers in an important way, but we're also strengthening our instruction in the schools.

It gives the students an opportunity to work with teachers in an entirely different way.

We're trying to help the county get the workforce, ... If you have courses for student teachers in Charlotte County, they're more likely to stay in Charlotte County after they graduate.
