We were able to restore service to small pockets along the Coast and around Hattiesburg, which were among the hardest-hit areas. It was a real lift for everyone to see some visible signs of success.

We're in the process now of compiling those costs. Before Katrina, the preliminary estimates we had were in the 10 percent range. It's certainly possible that those costs would go up.

Hurricane Katrina is obviously a significant storm. Should it make landfall anywhere near the Mississippi Coast, we can expect major damage to our electrical system. As the hours pass we should begin to know better what to expect in terms of its strength and direction.

We have those planes on the ground, ready to go. They can quickly be put in service should demand warrant it.

I am keeping my view forward, but sometimes the rear-view mirror distracts me.
