We wanted to do this and be a part of the community. What better way to get to know others than be opening up a restaurant? We just wanted to do this to keep helping others.

We were really inspired by the Lord to open this place. We originally bought it in 2003. We had it for so long and all these delays kept happening. There was a burglary, and we had to take care of our foster kids, but we never gave up. We just kept going, and that's what we want to let others know.

We were selling hot dogs from a mobile cart for three years before we finally got a permanent place. We were selling them at all of the chamber events. We would be at the car shows, the street fairs and the Fourth of July celebrations.

I feel like we really accomplished a lot. The Hispanic community really enjoyed themselves, and the people that participated were really able to experience something different.

Everybody knows the buying power of the Hispanic community and the immigrant community. I don't think it's necessary to put it out there as a form of expression as it relates to this movement.

A hallmark of the Latino community is to help one another, if students are interested in a way to give back and help their communities, becoming a teacher is probably one of the very best ways of doing that.
