We want to create top-quality programs for all kids. Now, of course, as a diversity liaison, I'm going to actively recruit minority students because that's where the achievement gap lies.

The 2006 GSM Association Awards have been specifically designed to showcase the diversity of products and services and the quality, ingenuity and level of innovation that combine to fuel the mobile value chain. Entries this year have again exceeded our highest expectations, reflecting the vibrancy of the mobile industry on a global basis.

I am truly excited about the quality of these three major sculptures, but also about the diversity of contemporary art being acquired by the museum. You have to have an environment where your opinion is OK. Green Bay is learning how to be diverse. We were a homogenous community 20, 30 years ago. We're going to stumble a little bit, but we have to be optimistic.

When you're different from the mainstream, being singled out, positively or negatively, just enhances difference. And sometimes that can make a student uncomfortable.
