We try to take care of immediate needs. We give them what we call comfort kits, which have basic items they'll need like a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, combs and towels.

It's important that everyone have a comfortable place to sit. Even though this is a room for kids, Mom needs a place to sit while reading books or helping them with a project.

We've already made preparations to provide 500,000 hot meals a day.

We're so proud of them. They are really a dedicated and wonderful group of people and my heart is with them. This is the largest event that the Red Cross has indicated that it has ever dealt with in its history.
