We took away everything from (the Badgers). They couldn't get any of their one-timers, which is their strong point. We blocked a lot of their shots, which helped me a ton.

I think (Mount Vernon) showed you how strong you have to be to come to this point. At one point I think they just decided they were going to shove us out of the way and go get everything and they did.

The bottom line is we took command of that ballgame in the second half and that's been our strong point recently. It was a little crazy at the end -- we didn't handle the ball well and tried to score instead of running clock -- but the kids followed the game plan and hung with it.

If you let their best players take one-timers from the slot, they're going to go in. Five-on-three is a tough situation for everybody.

To take a shot in the knee from a guy who's got one of the best, hardest, heaviest one-timers in the league -- that's toughness. Maybe crazy, too.

We, as old timers, feel like we're being used.
