We talked about that. They took us out of our game plan. They possessed the ball like crazy. Mentally, we were not on our game plan.

That's the way the ball bounced. We were trying to get good opportunities. We needed to be patient, but we started hurrying.

Kaiser has played pretty well this year; they have great potential.

Years ago, John's dad was yelling and screaming at us; he was like, 'Goddamit, I can't understand a fuckin' word you're saying,' ... And John was like, 'You know what? That's how I should sing. I should just take it to the next level and make it so freakin' brutal that you can't even understand it.' And when he did that, it just jelled with the music that we were playing. The more we tried to make it heavier, the better the songs came out.

Those of us who wanted to test the boundaries of what a superhero comic book could do, unfortunately broke those boundaries and the results have not all been very good. We pushed against the old walls, and they fell-but nothing much has been built to replace them. And now the roof is leaking and the sewer's backing up.
