We smothered them in the first half with a trapping zone defense. That was kinda the story of the game.

I was trying to be more of a presence on defense. I wanted to be more active.

I'm really proud of how we battled in the second half - that was Eminence basketball. We were able to use our athleticism and wear them down - it was just too little, too late. But they are a very good team and there is no shame in losing to them.

They are a good basketball team. They are really physical, and they beat us up the first two quarters.

I'm happy for the girls. They've earned it, and they deserve it. It's significant. People are starting to see we've got a pretty good group here. Look at our record (9-0) against 2A schools. People finally started to look at that.

The girls started thinking and got together. We were just a little more talented.
