We see people on the roadways talking on the phone, checking their stocks, checking scores, fussing with their MP3 players, reading e-mails, all while driving 40, 50, 60, 70 mph and sometimes even faster.

This is an opportunity to see how quickly these technologies are being deployed in the market.

Technology, of course, is not the only distraction.

This is a wake up call to America to pay attention while driving.

Whenever we make a mistake such as talking with a mouthful of food, ordering the wrong kinds of foods or holding our fork like a shovel, we ruin a relationship and diminish our personal brand.

This has set people off beyond anything I have ever witnessed. The reaction of the people who understand the job of the Historic District Commission are in agreement. The people who don't understand are reacting in an emotional way because it's a flag.
