We really wanted to see how [the tables] would be received. We're going to assess at the end of the semester, and probably look at next summer to add the additional chairs.

We are responding to feedback that we have received from large-enterprise customers. We are continuing to assess the demand from our small-business customers. But we haven't seen that demand so far.

With our increasing numbers, if there was a fire, if there was a problem, our concern was whether we could move people out if they were not perfectly aligned against the wall.

We were trying to find something that would fit with the landscape and not be outside of the University standard. The residence halls like [Mary Burke Hall] have some tables similar to these, so we brought that to the north side of the campus.

Over the last three years, we've received numerous inquiries about whether Mercer would develop a doctoral program. Now that word is trickling out, we've gotten numerous responses and high levels of interest.

Look for the tables with balloons. That's where we'll be.
