We really want to concentrate on customer service. In New York the restaurants are very customer service oriented and they are quick and friendly.

Delta already offers New York customers the most service of any U.S. airline across the Atlantic, the most domestic capacity from New York's LaGuardia Airport, and the city's leading shuttle product to Washington, D.C. and Boston. The addition of daily, non-stop service from New York to South America's largest market is the latest step in ensuring that Delta is New York's airline of choice. More service announcements that will further extend our leadership position in New York are planned later this winter.

There are also a number of other agencies involved - the New York DEC, the USDA Nature Resource Conservation Service and the USDA Farm Services Agency, the Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the Future Forests group out of DEC Region 8. Without the cooperation of all of these groups, an event such as this wouldn't be possible.

We're going to concentrate on long haul, point-to-point service between large markets. Boston, Washington and New York are the big ones on the East Coast. I'm not saying those are the exact routes, but that's the general direction.

We strongly believe that energy choice benefits New York consumers as reported by the New York State Public Service Commission (NYPSC) last week. Electric prices have dropped by an average of 16 percent for New York residents between 1996 and 2004 according to the NYPSC. New York residents are also benefiting from the innovation and emphasis on customer service that competition creates.

People in New York and Boston want nonstop service to Austin, but it's been too difficult and expensive. We think it's too great a city to keep under wraps any longer.
