We ran a couple sets that weren't designed for her, but in the back of our mind they're designed for her. When she gets her shoulders up, she's a tough as anybody in the league to stop.

We lost a little bit of confidence I think. All year long we told them to play with confidence. Tonight, we just couldn't find it. It wasn't just one girl, but all of them. It was just a tough stretch there.

Melissa knew she didn't play real well (in the first half). She took that one shot and it barely touched the bottom of the basket. I just told her she had been playing the game for a long time and to keep doing what she does best. She did that in the second half.

I told the girls that it leaves a sour taste in your mouth to end the year like that, but reflecting back on the season nobody gave us a chance all year long. I told them they're part of history at Karns City. They've got something to be proud of. The seniors left their mark on our program. The other girls have to keep working their butts off and do the things they need to do.

We got a little lax. For about four or five minutes there in the second quarter we were mentally out of it.

We told them at halftime to keep plugging away. Our second quarter was just awful. I saw a couple pouts out there and I told them to turn those frowns into smiles and pick it up and play basketball like we know how to play it.
