We played a whole lot better than Friday. Hopefully, we've got that bad game out of our system.

The questions were geared more toward the language arts, and since I am a math and science person, I only offered little tidbits to my teammates who were more language-arts oriented.

We didn't make routine plays. We played good offensively, (but) we didn't play good defense behind our pitchers.

We did a real good job finishing. We came out swinging our bats real good. Everybody, from top to bottom, hit the ball.

I thought we did pretty good for our first game. Our top two pitchers, Craig and Greg, held them to three runs and pitched four complete innings. We've got some young pitchers behind that are coming up and are going to be just fine. They just need some more time on the mound.
